Thanks Reaper. Can you move the matching posts over as well?

Doesn't look like I can move the topics, but I moved most of the info into the new thread. Take a look at everythign we posted, and if you think there is somethign that needs to be moved over, repost it, in a week, I'm just going to delete the posts on this topic and the conversation can go on over there. I'll leave Guinevere's comment in tact and add an edit linking to the new thread.

Brian from the UK
I have been a fan of Battlestar Galactica since I first sore it in the cinema in the 70`s ( there is nothing like seeing the Galactica go across the big screen) and thought the costumes where some of the best I have seen ( and still do to this date ).
I have done a number of fun costumes over the years, including the dress uniform from Buck Rogers.
But have always wished to do Galactica costumes but did not know where to start.

Well, I think I can say that if you pay as much attention to detail on your TOS Galactica costume as you did your others, it should be outstanding!

Greetings everyone! I came across this site while doing research over at ASAP. I grew up with reruns/rentals of (in no particular order) BSG, Star Wars, Star Trek, Doctor Who, plus others. One of the first costume items I ever wanted, was a TOS BSG Warrior's outfit. I have yet to fulfill that, as I have been outfitting myself in other genres first, including nu-BSG green fatigues, several Jedi variants, custom Mandalorian Merc (Star Wars), Halo 3 marine, Indiana Jones, Imperial Knight (Star Wars). With Star Wars Celebration V in just a few months, I probably won't be able to divert serious funds to my dream of a TOS BSG warrior's outfit till late this year.
One costume item about as long-standing (20+ years) as the BSG warrrior, was a Tom Baker Doctor Who scarf. I was able to cross this off my list at Christmas 2009!
I have already done a ton of reading and following links here already, and I thank everyone for the work and research already done!! I look forward to following/reading updates as people produce this beloved costume.
I may not post much for quite a while, but I wanted to get my foot in the door at least!
You may now return to your...............well, whatever you were doing!

Hey all, I'm an old school fan, I remember watching the series on ABC way back when. When the RDM primered, i was outraged, Starbuck and Boomer girls? wheres the aliens? what the frak is going on with the word frak? They HARDLY said it in the old show, but like everything else, I gradually came to accept it for whjat it is: someone else's spin on an old idea, but thats okay. Budget constraints prevent me from doing a colonial warrior's kit from the old series (disability from the VA only goes so far), so when i hit the cons, I'm decked out in a Colonial Marine's kit from RDM. I met Richard Hatch at ConCarolinas this past weekend (first weekend of June 2010), and was VERY dismayed that *I* was the ONLY ONE there in a kit, old and new series. We need to get out there a little bit more, like the 501st, Starfleet, Stargate SOC andshow people the show isnt forgotten

Getting out there is exactly why we started this club! Welcome aboard my friend. Your enthusiasm is welcome. We'll be making our big debut at Comic Con 2011. We'll be hitting a few cons before then, but we have a competition going with the Cylon Empire to see who can get thirty members to Comic Con in costume!
