Shoutbox

Rea: OK, I'm fed up of trolling through threads... does anyone know what colour the snow suits in Ice Planet Zero are? I can't make up my mind whether they're grey or beige... Apr 20, 2015 13:40:45 GMT -5
Lightning: They look grey to me. Really, really light grey. Apr 20, 2015 14:55:06 GMT -5
Colonel Bolter: Check out this link...: http://www.byyourcommand.net/cylonforum/viewtopic.php?f=29&t=1973 Apr 20, 2015 15:25:12 GMT -5
Lightning: Ooo. That is so bad ass! I'll have to stay there next time I'm in Vegas! Apr 20, 2015 15:30:31 GMT -5
Rea: Looks beige there. Thanks Apr 20, 2015 16:43:51 GMT -5
Colonel Bolter: I doubt if it's there any longer, I have no information on who took the photos or exactly when. I've considered breakin' the display glass for that artic coat. I've asked bsg.org to make me an artic coat, but no go at this point. :( I can afford it..!! Apr 21, 2015 8:37:21 GMT -5 *
Lightning: Hmmm. I'll see if I can develop a pattern for the arctic coat. I'll post what I find later. Apr 21, 2015 13:56:30 GMT -5
Colonel Bolter: The **fun** part would be all the elaborate 'quilting'. As you know, the original fabric used were those 'elevator wall pads' construction folks used to protect the elevator car walls from damage. The angled "\/\/\/' stitching would have to be done. Apr 21, 2015 15:39:17 GMT -5 *
Lightning: I'll find some good pictures of the coats, should be fairly easy to adapt a pattern by looking at them, as for the fabric, I'm not sure I can find the exact material, but was thinking something like a polyester blend in the same tan color would work. Apr 21, 2015 17:42:42 GMT -5
Rea: The padded blankets used by removal companies look close http://www.moverssupplies.com/catalog/product/view/id/260/s/moving-blankets-cotton-ms-06/category/76/ Apr 21, 2015 22:11:58 GMT -5
Rea: There is quite a range available in USA, but with shipping charge of $85, I'll be doing my own quilting... Apr 21, 2015 22:29:34 GMT -5
Rea: (That's for shipping to UK) Apr 21, 2015 22:38:02 GMT -5
Lightning: Hey, Colonel Bolter, I think this is the same, or very close, to the 'elevator wall pads'. I do believe I could make a coat out of one. http://www.moverssupplies.com/catalog/product/view/id/244/s/cabinetmaker-blankets-by-dozen/ Apr 24, 2015 23:05:55 GMT -5
Colonel Bolter: Thank you for the kind commission offer.., WOW this material looks PERFECT. Allow me to pay down the $$ spent thus far but will keep you in mind. :D Apr 25, 2015 17:55:36 GMT -5 *
Lightning: OK. I feel like a total moron, but is there a way to change ones screen name? I've thought of something much cooler. Apr 26, 2015 23:05:39 GMT -5
Rea: Don't know if this helps, but if you go into profile, then custom fields, there is an edit profile button.... Apr 27, 2015 5:53:10 GMT -5
Lightning: Aha! That works, thanks Rea, I'll go change it now :D Apr 27, 2015 8:53:12 GMT -5
Lightning: Formerly 'galacticapearl', now Lightning. A much better name for a soon-to-be defender of the universe. :) Apr 27, 2015 9:38:05 GMT -5
Colonel Bolter: Welcome 'Lightning'.. :D Apr 27, 2015 10:09:13 GMT -5
Lightning: Bad news for everyone attending Galacticon, Dirk Benedict's appearance has been canceled. I just read it over at dirkbenedictcentral.com Apr 27, 2015 21:04:35 GMT -5
