Remember back when you were a kid (and then again when you were an adult) and you just wished someone would give you the job to come up with the GOOD stuff that we really wanted? Well time to speak up! Let your imagination run wild. Well, not too wild. Something that is totally feasible if some awesome company only had the brass tacks to make it so... Doesn't have to be Galactica related. I'll go first. 1. Gummy Ceti Eels. I might make this happen. Remember those little eels that came with this guy? They look about bite size. 2. GI Joe sixed Battlestar Galactica playsets. Remember this beast? If you had this toy. Bite me. I had a Wishbook clipping in my drawer for years. But seriously...can you imagine a Battlestar this size? With Vipers that fit the three inch figure line? I'd still be playing with that thing to this day. 3. V action figures and ships. Seriously toy companies of the eighties. You dropped the ball. They even prototyped them! 4. The Last Starfighter figures and ships. Again toy companies, did you just sleep through 1984? This upsets me. To be continued...

www.plaidstallions.com/never.htmlI hope these people lost their jobs. Ten year old me wants to kick you. In a bad place. Check out this awesome news! Now we just have to get them to do the rest! super7store.com/alien-reaction-figure-set.htmlFaithfully based on the actual 1979 prototypes that never saw production, Super7's "new" figure series retains the vintage looks, articulation, accessories, and, best of all, packaging of the originally planned toys. 1x RIPLEY - w/ Flame Thrower 1x ASH - w/ Motion Detector 1x DALLAS - w/ Flame Thrower 1x KANE IN NOSTROMO SPACESUIT - w/ removable helmet and transparent visor 1x THE ALIEN ("BIG CHAP") - w/ removable transparent dome, extendable jaws and glowing brain! 1x RIPLEY - w/ Flame Thrower: Ripley initially refuses to allow Kane to be brought aboard the Nostromo, however Ash overrides her and opens the airlock. Ripley later reprimands Ash for superseding his place in the chain of command and simultaneously notices Ash’s morbid fascination with the Facehugger. She later accesses the computer to learn that the Weyland-Yutani corporation considers the survival of the crew secondary to the acquisition of any alien species. 1x ASH - w/ Motion Detector: Following Ripley’s revelation that the Weyland-Yutani corporation considers the survival of the crew secondary to the acquisition of any alien species, Ash attacks Ripley, easily overpowering her and attacking Parker when the latter intercedes. Finally decapitated, Ash is revealed to be an android specifically programmed to preserve the Alien and deliver it intact to Weyland-Yutani. 1x DALLAS (not pictured) - w/ Flame Thrower: When the remaining crew of the Nostromo mobilizes to hunt down the Alien, Parker creates makeshift weapons including electrical prods and flamethrowers. Equipped with a flamethrower, Dallas pursues the Alien into the Nostromo’s ductwork for the purpose of flushing the creature into the airlock, however he is abruptly ambushed and presumably killed by the full-grown Alien warrior. 1x KANE IN NOSTROMO SPACESUIT - w/ removable helmet and transparent visor: Kane makes the mistake of closely examining an Alien egg and is immediately incapacitated when the Facehugger emerges and crashes through the faceplate of Kane’s space helmet. Against Ripley’s strident refusal, Kane is brought aboard the Nostromo. It is later established that the Facehugger cannot be forcibly removed without killing Kane and/or causing the Facehugger to bleed acid capable of penetrating the Nostromo’s hull. 1x THE ALIEN ("BIG CHAP") - w/ removable transparent dome, extendable jaws and glowing brain: Following the detachment of the Facehugger from Kane, the Alien appears as the Chestburster, tearing its way out of Kane and slithering out of reach. In the dank recesses of the Nostromo the Chestburster evolves into the fearsome Xenomorph, a black, skeletal, insectoid biped looming above the Nostromo’s crewmen, striking from myriad claustrophobic shadows to ambush and kill each crew member.

The Last Starfighter figures remind me of the Sgt Rock figures that came out about the same time as GI Joe lots of potential missed there.
The Alien figures are or were available recently. And I was severely tempted. Still am lol.
Mego had their 3 3/4 line rocking! The Palomino would have been great. I think they let the Tar Trek line slip with the limited articulation, but all the figures could be customized across the 3 lines! (Buck Rogers, Black Hole and St:TMP) I think I still have 3 different Buck variants now lol.
A toy company used the Mego TMP figures to mock up TWOK figures. That would have ROCKED!!
The V figures hurt as well I would have eaten those up!!! And of course a complete figure line and vehicles for BSG.

I always wanted "Jaws" figures as well. The "Movie Maniacs" line that Todd McFarlane did was pretty epic. The Orca was amazing. I wanted carded figures though as a kid. I remember thinking when McFarlane started putting out grittier figures I was pretty stoked. A Michael Myers figure? Yes please! lol
Anyone who is familiar with the "Sonic Fazer" from the late 70s early 80s knows that they could have totally done a decent Galactica laser toy that looked fairly close. I wanted that for sure.

Funny how the actual Battlestar toy laser looked nothing like the prop. It was even white lol. It did have lights and sound.

We should gut one of those and put the electronics into an actual laser prop as a joke! lol Oh and speaking of the Sonic Fazer, check this out! lol Attachments:
