Bill Hunt at The Digital Bits just reported that Universal will release the theatrical cut of the pilot episode on 4K UHD disc on 7/4! No pre-order link yet, but see the 06 April 2023 post at www.thedigitalbits.com

I can only hope that they ultimately release the full series on 4k. Now THAT is what I want to buy!

Also, keep in mind that the 4k release of Saga of a Star World is the basic movie with the run time of 2:05. This is the edited version that has been out there on video for years.
The one that we really want is the one that has the run time of approx. 2:19. This has all of the scenes such as the Athena locker room scene and others that were cut out of the shorter version.

I am agreed with Flight Sergeant Charybdis here as well. Since the people of Earth have done us the courtesy of having preserved our Legend, it would not make sense to have a mutilated version of it be passed down to our posterity. Thus we should indeed seek the version of our Legend, as it has been correctly translated from our language, that takes up two centares and nineteen centons of our time to review, rather than the mutilated, and hence mis-translated, version whose review consumes fourteen centons fewer.
