;D Its a good time to be a Battlestar fan!

Alright people time to hit the net and show your support of Bryan Singer and Glen Larson! Part of the reason we formed this club was to promote Battlestar Galactica.

As news of the new Battlestar feature film spreads, there are a lot of naysayers out there bad mouthing the original series. We don't need to fight with them, but we do need to make a show of support!

A couple of things to keep in mind...You're going to get angry. I know I did. I'm approaching things a bit different now.

When you read these articles, they are largely biased toward Ron Moore's show. Right now they're saying "why bring the original back when Ron Moore's show was so great." Show them we want to see this movie and that is why.

Remember we are not against Ron Moore, we are for the faithful continuation of Battlestar Galactica.

Speak your support.
Be respectful.
State your hopes for the movie.

It wouldn't hurt to be vocal about wanting Tom DeSanto on board as producer. He has our best interest in mind.

No script has been written yet. Don't let the "re imagining" moniker drive you away. Singer went with a continuation back in the day, he could do it again. Either way he has a history of being very respectful of source material.

Blackstar Squadron will officially be supporting this movie unless things take a major wrong turn. Based on the indications that Mr Singer and Mr Larson are returning to the classic Battlestar plot line, visuals and story, Blackstar Squadron is giving this effort our support,. since our goal is to promote Battlestar Galactica as it was originally presented. It may be too early to tell what they will do just yet, but it is never too early to get out there and voice what we want to see!

Anyone is free to adapt and post this info where you like so long as you make it your own. For example representing Blackstar on Callisto might be a conflict of interest unless you know better. Just check it all out first.

I looked around on a few of the sites.

Seems to be a line drawn to the fans of the TOS and the New.

Some people are down right hateful to the original show.

It is and always will be my favorite.

I hope it does go thru.

Exactly. They're really spitting poison at us at this point. All we really need to do is show that we exist. We don't have to argue with them, but we do need to show our support in a public way.
