Article XIII: Merchandising and Promotion
Blackstar Squadron makes no claim of rights to Battlestar Galactica, its characters, terms or other intellectual property owned by Glen Larson and/or UniversalNBC and may not profit from any activities based on these assets.
Funds may not be collected from the general public for any purpose.
Funds to offset operating expenses may be collected from voting members but doing so is strictly voluntary. Any collection or use of funds for operating expenses will be disclosed on the forum by the High Council as collected or incurred.
From time-to-time, the High Council may approve advertising or merchandise for Blackstar Squadron. The creation of merchandise for promotional use, if sold, will be priced at production cost and only made available to voting members. A full accounting of such activity will be disclosed on the forum by the High Council.
Planned activities involving donations to a qualified non-profit charity must be approved by the High Council in advance and funds paid directly to the organization. No member may hold charitable funds on behalf of Blackstar Squadron or any other organization.
Blackstar Squadron assumes no responsibility for items sold by its members. All risks pertaining to sales are the responsibility of the seller and/or buyer. Membership may be revoked by the High Council for members failing to fulfill obligations made.
