Anyone keeping up on the new 1979 BSG Music Scores coming out?
They are on Volume 4 now. 1 and 2 are getting up in price.
Just search Amazon or ebay with "Galactica Vol 2' for example to find them.

The source is store.intrada.com/Search Galactica. I need to find a good price for Vol 2 as 1-3 are already out of print. Got 1,3,4 now.

I posted about them a while back when the second one came out. That one is the hardest to find because it was a limited release for some reason. I believe 4 is the last volume isn't it? Up until these came out the best one could find was Stu's four disc "industry" anthology. These new volumes are amazing. More than we could have hoped for!

The addition of the actual opening score with the "Exploration" intro from the debut film as opposed to the re recorded theme from the original soundtrack album was worth the price of all the discs combined to me. Stu said that they had to re-record the theme for the album due to some distortion that they were having trouble with. While slightly noticeable, the remaster of that version is fantastic. It has a much more noble and driving power to it in my opinion.

I like the clean copy of the Episode Titles myself. I do not know why that was not on his 4disk set.

The music that is played with the episode title and guest stars. That gue has not been released until this set. Some think it was the same as 'Lets go home" but that is some of it but not 'it'.

Totally! That was a fantastic addition. I had a crummy MP3 of that up until this set that was ripped from an episode. That music tag is great.

yeah there is a 4th one, it looks like this an excellent cd. I have the 4disc Anthology and it is worth $250.00 because it is out of print.

That four disc anthology set is not only out of print, it was never officially released to the public. Those were made by Stu as his portfolio for industry distribution. It is a rare find. Stu will occasionally sell them to his fans for around $75 (as of 2008).
I love that set. Even with how amazing the Intrada releases are, that four disc set is a must for any Stu Phillips fan. Stu signed mine and drew out the opening bars of the Galactica theme. If you ever have a chance to meet him don't pass it up. He is a truly great person with more great stories to tell than you can imagine! The man recorded "Blue Moon"!!!
