Yup - I have FIOS; there's no substitute for Fiber Optics direct to the home! Most movies take about 4 minutes to download if it's ripped, 20 minutes if it's a full DVD. This one took longer because even though it automates everything it still has to pause in between files, (rapidshare) so it added a good 12 minutes of just waiting for downloads. That's about right... ;D

so, who's burning th dvds/cds? lol Generally, I don't download stuff because to my eye, I find it looks very 'skippy'. There's so much out there (among them a cool Superman II edit) that I'd like to see, but I just can't deal with the motion (or lack thereof) sickness. My Son just watched 7 seasons of Voyager from Netflix on his computer; I couldn't look at too much of it at all. I guess I'm old school. I like smooth, continuous stuff. I'll watch my prehistoric DVDs. ;D

It all depends on how it was encoded. The latest trend for those of us that have true high speed connections (not DSL!) is to download a Blu-Ray rip, which will be even sharper than DVD.
However, I still have my trusty Cylon head DVD set here, hopefully for 2018 they do a remastered Blu-Ray version with all new behind the scenes and interviews for the 40th anniversary.
(A guy can dream!)
