Just met him last June and had not idea he was fighting cancer. Seemed so full of life.

Right there with ya crying, I saw him just a few months ago in August and he was so lively. Let's all share those happy memories.

Sitting here at work, I just found out Richard Hatch died.
While all my 12 year old friends wanted to be Starbuck, I always wanted to be Apollo.
I'm so glad I was able to meet him last year at the same show that Fleasome was at. I wish I could have thought more to discuss with him, it was very cool to talk with him for a few minutes .

Shocked. Saddened. Crying. He was always at the local Southern California conventions. Usually sitting at a table next to Herbert Jefferson, Jr. I had no idea he was sick.
I'm going to miss seeing him and his constant smiles and laughs. He was so full of life.

That our medical knowledge still cannot treat all diseases frustrated Dr. Salik to the end of his own days. Here on Earth, it is even WORSE!

To all of my fellow Colonials, Warriors and Fleet personnel: May the Divine cherish the soul of Richard Hatch upon arrival, and so reunite him with Lorne Greene, Lloyd Bridges, Glen Larson, and so many others among the creative people who helped make the original 'Battlestar Galactica' series a joy to see. Though I never personally met him, to know that many of you did have the chance to shake hands and converse with 'our Captain Apollo', it is a heartwarming feeling to me. In my heart, I know that each of your individual experiences touched him deeply as much as it did for you all. People intrinsically like to be remembered for their efforts, and I firmly believe that your fan support was a true joy and comfort to Mr.Hatch during his personal health struggle. I know one of the pillars of the original Galactica is no longer with us today, but just as much as I believe that my father still lives within me in spirit, so too does Captain Apollo maintain his patrol in the heavens with his brother Flight Lieutenant Zac and his father Commander Adama. Richard Hatch lives on in spirit in all of us classic Galactica fans. May God Bless each and every one of you, and may you know peace and sympathy.
With Respectful Condolences, Dave Gaba, "atlantiaistoast"

On a happier note-- to Fleasome and Sunchaser, the outfits look amazing! As a 'Fleeter', I'm super appreciative of the blue uniforms, and Fleasome, you rock the swashbuckling 'tude of Starbuck. Well done for you all!

I had the pleasure meeting Richard some years ago at a convention. He was so personable. We spoke for some time! Meeting him was the highlight of the convention for me. RIP Captain!!
May the lords of Kobol bless you and guide your soul to the Thirteenth Tribe!!
