Just curious, how many of yall share this hobby with your significant other? I normally don't have to try and justify what I buy (costume) as long as I make the bill payments and spend equal time on her costumes. It normally makes life easier until I realize she has more swords, airsoft, and costumes than I do.

I'll just say that my 'former spouse' would not have allowed me to spend the time and $$ (ok, $$$) on this. Sooo, it's kind of a 'victory lap' indulgence for me, having never done uniforms or cosplay before. My current girlfriend (yes indeed, on the 'cusp' of proposing..) loves the idea and is a renown photographer so she'll be snapping some shots of me soon, and attending G4 with me. I'll get my tans photographed this next week, and have some 'jacket-shots' done when my Magnoli comes in. I'm on the verge of a 1yr Army mobilization down south, so timing is a factor.

Very cool guys. We have been doing costumes of one form or another for over 25 years a peace. Then I have had friends who had to give it up because there other was not into it. I guess I really lucked out with her.
Oh and Bolter good luck

Oh, lest we fine gentlemen (and lovely ladies) think otherwise or have ANY doubts, our spouses (or significant others) who support us in our Warrior endeavors are KEEPERS. Do NOT ever let them go. Have a great day everyone.

One of my friends keeps getting sidetracked by his wife every time he goes to a con or plans to build something. I'm glad I don't have that kind of battle. Mine is almost the opposite. I'm working on 4 different costumes for her, each lacking something, but I get a new request for another costume.

My wife does have a complete Warrior outfit which she has worn one time at an event we went to several years ago. She looked great! She's not too into the costuming but she does have a couple of Star Wars costumes as well. Unfortunately, lately she has not been involved at all since giving birth to our baby about a year and a half ago. Doing the mommy thing right now but hopefully when the baby grows a bit more (another year or so) she might get back into it a bit (with my urging of course!)

Create a costume for the kid. Maybe if she starts hearing how adorable your baby is in costume that might be enough for her to start back up.

I can't seem to keep them around, so it doesn't really matter what the S/O has to say about my hobbies.

Ah, single life. No spousal worries for me! (Although baby warriors would be adorable!)

Richard seems like such a nice guy, can't wait to meet him! He's the best! He loves to thumb-wrestle, so be prepared! Spirituality is a huge part of his life, too and he loves talking about meditation and that type of stuff.

Very cool, and very cool pics. While Julie is definitely into costuming, she hasn't expressed interest in BSG. I love how you are passing down BSG to the next generation.
