Has anyone here given any ponderances to how you'll retire your uniforms, one day when the glorious cosplay days are over..? My former wife had her autographed Green Bay Packer jersey professionally mounted/framed a few years back, and I've wondered about perhaps getting Richard and a few other 'classic BSG' cast members to autograph my tan shirt (perhaps in the lower left gut area.., making it no longer washable obviously), then someday have it mounted/framed as well, next to a display case featuring my SIDI's, some other autographed items, etc.. Just curious.

I will likely sell all of mine along with my props once I get out of costuming.

spcglider, I'll come visit you in the retirement home when you're 90, still wearing your sadly no-longer-fitting uniform.. And if you say your uniform will STILL fit, then you must currently have the physique of a 90yr old. LOL.. Me, I'd proudly display it.

My original uniform (made for me back in 1985) has been passed on to another warrior. And it actually fits him. I was 18 at the time of its creation and wore it for several years with minor alterations. But eventually, the middle age spread hits us all and I could no longer wear it.

I've actually been lucky. I've always been a tall/slender fellow (like Greenbean), and with all my distance running and Army physical training, I've kept my same physique, aside from my waist line going from a size 32/34 in my 20s to a size 36 now that I've reached 51. Actually, at 6'6", I'd make a SUPERB Cylon, will probably be my next outfit. Those Viper cockpits would be a bit cramped, y'know.

I'm hoping just to keep adapting my uniforms as I go. Afterall, once I get enough Grey hair (for screen accuracy of course) its time to go for the Command Blues!

I know by virtue of my actual military rank and distinquished grey hair (as some have commented..), I should go either to Command Blues or a Cain-style warrior jacket and pants...
But I'll just stay a humble Warrior.
"Gotta go with what you know."

Never retire your uniform. Convert it into a Cmdr Cain uniform. Cosplay will turn into drinking grog and playing Pyramid with other warriors at conventions in hotel bars. Or perhaps a Galactica equivalent of Bingo?

One of the first things I did, once I had the cubits I needed to do so, was obtain what I could of the materiel which we are agreed we have to employ for our uniforms, to reconstruct the dress uniform I used to wear as a bridge officer in Core Command. The first thing I will do, once I have completed it, will be to wear it. NEVER will I remove it once and while on duty unless forced to do so at weapon-point!

Well, I plan on keeping mine until I really give it all up. Then, I might either give it to my son or granchildren, depending on if I have any, or like Bouri, I might just sell it all and take a round the world trip!! After all this stuff costs, it might just cover all the expenses!!
