Thank you all. This got me excited to pull my old SIDI boots out of storage and dust them off. Just ordered some paint. I will look through the posts for some tips on cleaning and softening them up. Stiff as a board now. I was glad when I found some in my size but the calves are the problem. Again, cutting back on the mushies. Great to see a lot of offerings of equipment etc. I will work on a uniform for display and one for myself. Plus I do have an older resin helmet I need to put together. Now might be the best time. Great to have this community. While I live in California now, LA area, I'm from the midwest, Wisconsin, originally.

Hello There, My name is Anthony,
I'm from Liverpool in the UK, I haven't been a Galactica fan for very long, a few months ago I got interested in the series and bought the movie version of the pilot and I loved it, this and thanks to the airings on various channels I got a chance to watch the series and I completely fell in love with it!
I'm wanting to take up cosplaying as a hobby and a Colonial Warrior is one of my dream costumes to create, one thing led to another and I found this forum, I'm happy to be here and see what everyones' created and hopefully compile my own Uniform.

Hello! I was seven years old when the series came out and absolutely loved it! Had all the toys too (sadly, only one Cylon Raider survived the onslaught of my Imperious half brother and it currently sits here in my office). I am an avid cosplayer with about 20 costumes of my own, and also a few I have made for the wife and kid as well. I have always wanted to do a Colonial Warrior costume, so here I am. Thanks for having me on board!!!  |
