Does anyone know, or have a good reference for converting Earth timeframes to BSG timeframes? I thought I saw a table here once, but can't seem to find it. I can never keep strait what microns, centons, centars etc. equate to in Earthly time periods. Thanks!!!

I equate centimes to minutes and microns to seconds. In the pilot they used milicentons for seconds but that stopped pretty quickly.
I THINK microns were also used for distance as well. I need to refind the Colonial glossary I was using.

That's the site I use when I use Colonial time units. Mostly I use Earth units, especially if I'm not having Earth in the story.

In the pilot, Centons are used in a vague way, but absolutely not as minutes. In context, it seemed more like "days" or even "weeks". When Tigh reads Sire Uri's message about Carrillon, he talks about "resuming our journey within a centon"...which makes no sense in the context of the story if it means "minute".
But that changed almost immediately. Probably because they didn't write a technical manual to go with the show bible (which was infuriatingly vague). I'd even bet that the show bible came along only after they were forced to go to weekly series by the network. They even make fun of the whole "centon" question in "Greetings from Earth" as well as in "Experiment In Terra".

In the pilot episode Centons were not clear. It was used as time and distance.
Bit if you watch all the episodes, it becomes more clear.
Micron for second Centon for minute Centar for hour Secton for week, (Lost a secton's pay) Sectar for month Yahren for year.

Apparently the script for 'Greetings From Earth' has the following key... Centon- minute Centar- hour Secton- week Yahren- year
